Commissioner Director Kuhl celebrates Valentine’s Day at Hunterdon County Senior Center

“Love Is In The Air!”

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Commissioner Director Jeff Kuhl attended a Valentine’s Day celebration entitled, “Love Is In The Air!”, Monday at the Hunterdon County Senior Center auditorium, located at Gauntt Place, in Flemington.

The event began at noon with a luncheon prepared by student chefs from the Hunterdon Polytech culinary program and was followed by a musical concert at 1 pm by vocal artist, Michael Patrick.

“I am glad to see so many of you in attendance today. It is a pleasure to celebrate holiday events like this with members of the Hunterdon County Senior Center. These events are always well planned, and the Human Services staff is to be commended for providing great programs and activities that help keep our senior community engaged. Happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy the luncheon,” Kuhl said.

There were approximately 70 senior members in attendance for the event and musical entertainer, Michael Patrick, played a genre of simplistic story-telling lyrics and memorable melodies with Country, Folk, Rock, Blues and even Gospel blended songs. Lunch included a Spring Mix salad, Penne alla vodka with grilled chicken, and brownies and cookies for dessert.

This event required attendees to pre-register and included a suggested donation of $5. Donations from participants are combined with federal, state, and local funding to provide programs like this for the community. Donations are voluntary and are used to expand services to individuals in need.

All events sponsored by the Hunterdon County Senior Center is open to county residents aged 60 and over who are enrolled members of the Center.
