Driver injured after pickup truck crashes into Hunterdon County home

HAMPTON BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A driver was hospitalized after crashing a pickup into a home in Hunterdon County on Friday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of New Street and Charlestown Road in Hampton Borough, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Ford pickup truck was traveling on Charlestown Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, striking the curb and subsequently colliding with a residence, Lebron said.

The residence was unoccupied at the time of the collision, Lebron said.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
