Driver seriously injured after dump truck overturns in Morris County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A driver was seriously injured after a dump truck overturned Tuesday morning in Washington Township, according to a post on the Long Valley First Aid Squad’s Facebook page.

The crash happened at 7:09 a.m. on Schooley’s Mountain Road, according to the Long Valley Fire Company.

Firefighters worked alongside the Long Valley First Aid Squad to assist with extrication of the driver, the fire company said.

The fire crews helped the Morris County Road Department clear the road and the Morris County HazMat responded for a hydraulic Leak, authorities said.

Crews were on scene for more than four hours.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
