Five injured including one flown after multi-vehicle crash involving tractor-trailer on I-78 in Hunterdon County
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Five people were injured, including one person who was flown to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County Thursday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.
The crash happened at around 3:42 p.m. on Interstate 78 westbound at milepost 17.4 in Clinton Township, Lebron said.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that a collision occurred between a tractor-trailer and four passenger vehicles, causing the tractor-trailer to overturn, Lebron said.
As a result of the crash, four occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.
One occupant suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
