Hunterdon County Commissioner Soloway reads to 2nd grade students at Valley View Elementary School

LEBANON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Deputy Director, Susan Soloway, recently spent a morning at Valley View Elementary School in Lebanon Township, to read a story to 2nd graders in Ms. Caterina Dobak’s
class.

Fourteen students were in attendance to hear Ms. Soloway read aloud Jane Goodall’s book, “The Watcher”.

“Speaking with school children is one of the highlights of being a County Commissioner. The students at Valley View School were very welcoming and attentive while I read a book that shared all about Jane Goodall’s life with chimpanzees,” Soloway said.

Earlier this month, Commissioner Soloway visited the Norwescap, Early Head Start Center, in Ringoes, to read a book to Pre-K students in celebration of Read Across America Week, and also spent a morning at High Bridge Elementary School, to share about the interworking’s of county government with 4th grade students.

“Hunterdon County is a wonderful place to live, and we are fortunate to have so many great resources including excellent public schools’ and numerous programs available at our local libraries. Get involved in your community and read lots of books so you can keep learning,” Soloway said.
