Man pleads guilty to eluding police in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Pennsylvania man pleaded guilty to eluding police, according to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

Korporanribota, 32, of Allentown pleaded guilty third-degree eluding on March 29 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, Taggart said.

He admitted to knowingly fleeing from a law enforcement officer, at a high rate of speed on a motorcycle, after being told to bring the vehicle to a stop by New Jersey State Police, Taggart said.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 12.

Korporanribota was represented by Louis G. DeAngelis, Esq., and the State was represented by Special Deputy Attorney General and Acting Assistant Prosecutor Jonathan E. McMeen.
