Morris County man dies in fiery South Jersey crash

ABSECON, NJ (Atlantic County) – A Morris County man died on Sunday night following a single-vehicle fiery crash in Absecon, police said.

On  April 28, just before 10:30 p.m., an officer discovered a vehicle off the roadway engulfed in flames at the area of U.S. Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) and Delilah Road, near the old Bayview Motel, police said.

Immediate life-saving measures were undertaken by responding officers, who also made efforts to extinguish the flames. The Absecon Fire Department arrived and extinguished the blaze, authorities said.

The single occupant and driver, who was identified as Craig G. Doka, 33, of Oak Ridge, was found dead in the vehicle, officials said.

The Traffic Safety Unit is currently leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash, police said.
