No injuries after tractor-trailer fire on I-80 in Morris County

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A tractor-trailer caught fire Thursday night on Interstate 80 in Morris County, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota.

The fire broke out at 8:07 p.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound at milepost 23.7 in Mount Olive Township, Slota said.

Upon arrival, the freightliner tractor-trailer was on fire, and all eastbound lanes were closed while local fire departments extinguished the fire, Slota said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, Slota said.
