UPDATE: Severe storms bring road closures around Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – The heavy rain during Friday night’s storm caused severe flooding in parts of Warren County and a bridge in Washington Township to collapse.

Harmony Brass Castle Road between Hartmans Corner Road and Angen Road will be closed indefinitely due to a bridge collapse, Washington Township police said.

‘This is going to be a long term project,” police said.

According to Jersey Central Power and Light, “Last night’s storms caused significant tree and equipment damage, along with severe flooding and road damage, primarily in Oxford Township, Belvidere and White Township in Warren County. Crews will be working around the clock to get all customers back up and running.”

“Warren County Residents: I have been in touch with our Admin & can report that our county OEM and DPW staff are out there right now dealing with all of the issues from the storm yesterday,” Warren County Commissioner Director Lori Ciesla said in a Tweet Saturday morning.

“Once they know what roads will need to remain closed, they will issue a report. Be safe!,” Ciesla said.
