Structure fire under investigation in Warren County

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A structure fire Sunday morning in Knowlton Township is under investigation, according to the Knowlton Twp. Fire and Rescue Company.

The fire happened at around 12:25 a.m. on Ann Street in the Delaware Village section of the township.

First responders arrived on scene and observed a heavily involved structure fire. A first-alarm mutual aid assignment was dispatched along with a first-alarm tanker task force for a water supply, authorities said.

Arriving crews were met with extreme heat conditions from the fire, the post said.

Firefighters made an aggressive attack and quickly knocked down the majority of the fire, authorities said.

Knowlton Twp. Fire and Rescue were assisted by Blairstown Fire, Blairstown EMS, Hope, Belvidere, Portland (PA), Upper Mt. Bethel (PA), and Mountain Lake fire companies. NJ state police also assisted on scene.

The cause of the fire remains under inveisgation by the NJ State Fire Marshal.
