Man driving under the speed limit gets arrested for DWI in Sussex County

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A New York man was arrested for DWI after police say he was driving under the speed limit in Byram Township.

On Dec. 8, am officer observed a vehicle fail to keep right and drive approximately 20 mph under the speed limit on Route 206, police said.

The officer stopped the vehicle and while speaking to the driver, who was identified as Brian A. Wisdom, 52, of Brooklyn, the officer felt Wisdom may be intoxicated, police said.

Wisdom was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.

Wisdom was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath tests, failure to maintain lane, delaying traffic, careless driving and reckless driving. He was then released to a friend pending a court appearance.
