ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Firefighters contained a two-alarm fire to a bedroom at a home in the Succasunna section of Roxbury Township on Friday night, according to the Roxbury Township Fire Department.
The fire department responded to a home on Williams Street after a neighbor reported seeing flames coming from a window.
Roxbury Township police arrived first and attempted to extinguish the fire, officials said.
While responding to the scene, a fire official requested a second alarm based on updates from police, bringing additional resources to the fire. Upon arrival, officials confirmed a working fire.
Crews extinguished the room-and-contents fire, which was contained to a bedroom, according to the department.
The Roxbury Fire Prevention Bureau is investigating the cause of the fire.
