2 flown to hospital after vehicle crashes into woods in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Two people were flown to the hospital after their vehicle crashed into the woods in Clinton Township early Saturday morning.

On Oct. 12, at around 5:40 a.m., Clinton Township police officers responded to Petticoat Lane for a report of a single vehicle that had crashed into the woods, with injuries, police said.

Upon arrival, officers located the pickup truck in the woods in the area of 52 Petticoat Lane, police said.

The driver, 21, was found to be suffering from an apparent head injury, while the passenger, 21, was entrapped and sustained serious injuries, police said.

South Branch Emergency Services Heavy Rescue responded to extricate the passenger, police said.

Both were flown to Morristown Medical Center. Their identities were not released.

The crash remains under investigation by the Clinton Township Police Department.
