86-year-old pedestrian killed in Route 46 crash in Morris County

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — An 86-year-old man was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Parsippany-Troy Hills, authorities said.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the crash occurred at about 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Route 46 eastbound and Parsippany Boulevard and involved an Acura RDX and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, identified as Gui Con, 86, of Parsippany-Troy Hills, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body, officials said.

The driver of the Acura remained at the scene following the collision and was transported to an area hospital as part of the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation by the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
