Charter bus catches fire on I-287 in Somerset County; no injuries reported

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A charter bus was fully engulfed in flames early Wednesday on Interstate 287 South in Somerset County, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the fire at approximately 1:07 a.m. near milepost 13 in Bridgewater Township, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Upon arrival, the bus was already fully ablaze.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
