
Driver airlifted after SUV overturns on I-80 in Morris County
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A driver was airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 West in Morris County on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sgt. Charles Marchan, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 1:24 p.m. on July 9 at milepost 24.2 in Mount Olive Township.
A preliminary investigation found that a Kia SUV was traveling westbound when it lost directional control, left the roadway, struck a sign, and overturned, Marchan said.
The driver, who was not identified, sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation. No further information was immediately available.
