Raritan Township collecting food donations for Flemington Area Food Pantry through November

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Raritan Township is accepting food donations throughout November to support the Flemington Area Food Pantry (FAFP) and help local families facing financial hardship.

Donation boxes are available at three township locations: the Municipal Building lobby at 1 Municipal Drive, the Raritan Township Police Department at 2 Municipal Drive, and the Department of Public Works (DPW) at 204 Pennsylvania Avenue — all in Flemington.

Residents can drop off donations during the following hours:

  • Municipal Building: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Police Department: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Department of Public Works: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Officials are encouraging residents to support their neighbors by donating through the FAFP website, shopping from the pantry’s suggested donation list, or organizing food drives. Shoppers at the ShopRite of Flemington (272 U.S. Route 202/31 North) can also donate their free Thanksgiving turkey directly to the pantry by informing a store associate.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry, located at 154 U.S. Route 31 North across from the Flemington Walmart, operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Donations can be dropped off year-round at the side door of the building.

Food distribution hours are as follows:
