Sheriff Brown swears in new Hunterdon County correctional police officer
FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Sheriff Fred Brown formally swore in a new correctional police officer during a ceremony Monday, officials said.
Ryan J. Scholl, a Flemington native, officially joined the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office during the Jan. 5 ceremony. Scholl will begin his correctional police academy training later this month.
“Officer Scholl has chosen a career dedicated to public safety and service, and as a lifelong resident of Flemington, he brings a deep understanding of and commitment to our community. We look forward to supporting him as he begins his training and professional development,” Brown said.
Upon completing academy training, Scholl will assume duties as a correctional police officer, responsible for maintaining safety, security and orderly operations in service to the community, officials said.
The Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office said it remains committed to recruiting, training and supporting professionals who serve and protect county residents.
