Whippany Park High School to stage The Wizard of Oz Feb. 26–28
WHIPPANY, N.J. (Morris County) — Students in the Whippany Park High School Theatre program will bring the classic musical The Wizard of Oz to the stage later this month, with four performances scheduled over three days.
The award-winning student cast and crew will present the production Feb. 26 through Feb. 28 at the Whippany Park High School Theatre, located at 165 Whippany Road. The show retells the beloved story of Dorothy, a Kansas farm girl who journeys over the rainbow and learns the meaning of home.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, and Friday, Feb. 27, with two shows on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The production runs approximately two hours, including one intermission.
Tickets are priced at $15 for general admission and $12 for senior citizens and students. Tickets may be purchased online at https://bit.ly/WPHST26 or during box office hours in the main lobby of Whippany Park High School.
Box office hours are set for Thursday, Feb. 19, from 3 to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon; and Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets will also be available at the door for all performances on a cash-only basis.

The Wizard of Oz (RSC Version) is based on the story by L. Frank Baum, with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg. The production is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc., a Concord Theatricals company, and is based on the classic motion picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed by Warner Bros.
