Great Gorge Golf Club offers free play this week for golfers named Rory

VERNON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — Great Gorge Golf Club is offering a unique promotion this week, inviting anyone named Rory to play for free following a headline-making moment in the golf world.

The limited-time offer runs through Friday, April 17, at the club located at 414 County Route 517 in Vernon Township. Participants must present a valid ID to take advantage of the promotion.

Club officials said the idea was inspired by recent buzz surrounding a major golf moment involving Rory McIlroy, using the opportunity to bring a lighthearted twist to the start of the season.

The club said they are also hoping to see a large turnout, possibly creating one of the biggest gatherings of golfers named Rory in the region.

The club said it welcomes both experienced players and those simply looking to take part in the fun.
