HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — A Morris County woman was issued a summons after police said she threw lit matches inside a Hackettstown business during a verbal dispute.
Hackettstown police responded April 28 to a report of a disorderly individual at a business on Main Street, according to authorities.
During the investigation, employees reported ongoing harassment and threatening comments directed toward staff, police said.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage that allegedly showed Deborah Jones, 73, of Washington Township throwing lit matches into the business during the incident, authorities said.
Jones was issued a summons for violating a local ordinance for purposely causing public alarm, police said.
Authorities said she was advised of a mandatory court appearance and formally trespassed from the business property.
