HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Thousands of people filled downtown Hackettstown on Sunday for the 20th annual Hackettstown Street Fair, which combined the community’s largest annual festival with public watch parties for the FIFA World Cup final.
The free event, organized by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District, featured more than 175 vendors, live entertainment, food trucks, children’s activities, a soccer experience zone and public viewing areas where fans gathered to watch the World Cup championship match.
Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 to capture its second FIFA World Cup title.
This year’s street fair was part of the New Jersey World Cup Community Initiative, with Hackettstown serving as an official statewide partner community for the tournament.
“This event represents everything that makes Hackettstown special – community, local businesses, and experiences that bring people together,” said Laurie Rapisardi, executive director of the Hackettstown BID. “Thanks to the Choose New Jersey grant, we’re able to combine one of the world’s biggest sporting events with one of Hackettstown’s favorite summer traditions, creating an unforgettable day for residents and visitors alike.”
Visitors browsed artisan and craft vendors, shopped at local businesses and dined at downtown restaurants while enjoying activities throughout Main Street.
New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell attended the event, joining local officials, residents and visitors as the celebration highlighted both the community and the international soccer tournament.
The annual street fair is one of Hackettstown’s signature summer events, drawing visitors from across the region to the town’s downtown business district.
