Motorcyclist ejected, injured in I-80 crash in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A motorcyclist was injured Sunday afternoon after losing control of a motorcycle on Interstate 80 in Allamuchy Township, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded at 1:29 p.m. to the westbound lanes of I-80 near milepost 18.2 for a reported motor vehicle crash.

A preliminary investigation found that a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling west when the operator lost directional control. The motorcycle overturned on the right shoulder, ejecting the rider, state police said.

The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
