Gottheimer visits New Jersey State Fair in Sussex County
AUGUSTA, N.J. (Sussex County) — U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer visited the 2026 New Jersey State Fair and Sussex County Farm and Horse Show in Augusta, where he met with families, farmers, exhibitors and veterans during the annual event.
The fair, which runs through Aug. 8 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, features agricultural exhibits, 4-H competitions, the Sussex County Horse Show, carnival rides, live entertainment and family activities.
During his visit, Gottheimer toured the 4-H livestock exhibits, met with youth leaders, thanked veterans and active-duty service members, visited local veterans organizations and stopped at locally operated food concessions.
“The New Jersey State Fair is a Sussex County tradition and one of the best weeks of the summer in North Jersey,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “It’s a celebration of our farmers, our 4-H families, our small businesses, and the hardworking folks who make our community such a special place to live. I’m proud to be here supporting the agricultural heritage that’s at the heart of our District, and to see so many families out having a great time together.”
Held annually at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, the New Jersey State Fair celebrates the region’s agricultural heritage and draws tens of thousands of visitors each year with livestock competitions, horse shows, agricultural displays and entertainment.
