Mosquito treatments scheduled in 3 Morris County towns Thursday morning

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control treatments are scheduled early Thursday in parts of Montville, Lincoln Park and Chatham following an increase in adult mosquito populations.

Weather permitting, the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control will treat wooded areas using all-terrain vehicles between 4 and 6 a.m. Aug. 20.

The scheduled treatment areas include:

  • Montville: Nicholas Street
  • Lincoln Park: Gettysburg Way and Ryerson Road at Lane’s Field
  • Chatham: Tanglewood Lane at the sewer treatment plant

Officials said crews will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox.
