WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Two members of Boy Scout Troop 436 were recently recognized for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in Scouting, according to the Washington Township Police Department.
Aidan Cuccaro and Jared Thomas Bermeo were honored during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony Aug. 23 at the Fairmount Fire Company.
As part of his Eagle Scout service project, Cuccaro planned, organized and led the construction and installation of three park benches at Schooley’s Mountain Park in Long Valley.
Bermeo’s Eagle Scout service project involved installing a sustainable garden at Banyan High School in Little Falls for students and staff.
Officer Sam Lauver attended the ceremony on behalf of the Washington Township Police Department and joined the community in recognizing Cuccaro and Bermeo for their achievements.
