HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Centenary University will host its third annual Small Business Summit on Monday, Oct. 5, bringing together small business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals for workshops, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
The daylong event, hosted by the Centenary University Institute of Entrepreneurship, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the David and Carol Lackland Center in Hackettstown.
The in-person summit will feature breakout sessions, expert panel discussions and opportunities to connect with local vendors. Organizers said participants will be able to exchange ideas, build relationships and gain practical knowledge aimed at helping businesses start, strengthen and grow.
“The variety of sessions offered include building a business from scratch, understanding worker rights, personal branding, scaling up an existing business and so much more,” said Linda Poisseroux, PhD, Director, Institute of Entrepreneurship, and Faculty, Centenary University School of Business, Media, and Writing. “Everyone who attends is certain to walk away with new knowledge, valuable connections, and renewed energy focused on personal and professional success.”
Speakers scheduled to participate include Lauren Borawski of Child’s Play Challenge Courses; Lorraine Hubbard of Norwescap; Frank Longo of Centenary University; Tezeta “Tez” Roro of YourTopia Realty Partners; Christine Sullivan of Little Hearts Counseling; Mark and Liz Velez of HR First Solutions; Kelsey Walter of Green’s Beans Café; Drew Wintemberg; and Harris Wolin of Myers Wolin LLC.
Small business vendors scheduled to attend include Be the Difference Clothing, Better Together K9s, Dragonfly Development LLC, New York Life Insurance Company, Sanico Inc., Sarah Walsh, the Skilled Trades Empowerment Project and the Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship of New Jersey.
Participants may bring their own lunch or purchase a $10 lunch voucher when registering. Vendor tickets include one lunch voucher.
