Section of Goldmine Road closes for water main construction in Mount Olive
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A section of Goldmine Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29, for water main construction, according to Mount Olive Township.
The closure will extend from the Walmart exit to the entrance of the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority.
The road is expected to remain closed during construction hours for approximately two weeks, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Goldmine Road will reopen to traffic each day at approximately 4 p.m. and close again when construction work resumes the following morning.
The work is being performed by American Water as part of a water main construction project.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, allow additional travel time and plan accordingly during the construction period.
