Affinity Federal Credit Union opens nominations for third annual Wellbeing Awards in New Jersey
BASKING RIDGE, N.J. (Somerset County) — Affinity Federal Credit Union has opened nominations for its third annual Wellbeing Awards, a program recognizing individuals and organizations across New Jersey for contributions to financial, community and physical wellbeing.
The awards aim to highlight local leaders, nonprofits and businesses whose programs strengthen communities through innovative and meaningful initiatives. Nominations are open from Feb. 16 through March 27, and category honorees will be announced in spring 2026.
The program encourages submissions showcasing efforts that make a measurable difference in financial stability, community connection or physical health. Selection criteria focus on impact, innovation and commitment to improving the wellbeing of communities or individuals served.
“Every day, we see individuals and organizations across New Jersey stepping up to support financial wellbeing, community connection, and healthier lives,” said Kevin Brauer, CEO of Affinity Federal Credit Union. “The Wellbeing Awards are our way of recognizing those efforts and shining a light on the programs that are making a real difference. We’re proud to celebrate the people who are strengthening our communities in meaningful and lasting ways.”
The 2026 judging panel includes Affinity executives Pam Cohen, chief operating officer; Grant Gallagher, director of financial wellbeing and brand communications; Shawn Lubitz, vice president of retail branches; and Kelly Watts, executive director of the Affinity Foundation. Additional judges include Serena Collado, director of community health at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset; Paul Letson, senior managing consultant at Gallup; and Darnell Hayes, senior vice president and chief operations officer of the Greater Somerset County YMCA.
Affinity is partnering with Gallup, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and the Greater Somerset County YMCA on the awards program.
