HOPATCONG BOROUGH, N.J. (Sussex County) — The Hudson Farm Club will host its annual Harvest Shoot on Monday, Oct. 19, to benefit Project Self-Sufficiency and its services for low-income families in Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon counties.
The sporting clay shoot will begin with a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Activities on the club’s 4,200-acre hunting preserve will be followed by lunch in the Crow’s Nest event space and a silent auction.
Those who do not participate in the sporting clay shoot can attend the luncheon.
The Hudson Farm Club has hosted the sporting clay outing to benefit Project Self-Sufficiency for years. Participants will shoot at an assortment of clay targets at 20 locations throughout the property, with each station offering a different presentation of targets. Teams will have the opportunity to shoot at 100 clays over 3 1/2 hours.
The Hudson Farm Club will provide cartridges, ear and eye protection, and instruction and guidance based on each participant’s experience level. Guests are asked to bring their own break-open shotguns, although rentals can be arranged for those who do not own one or have limited shooting experience.

Project Self-Sufficiency Board of Directors member J.P. Perry has served as chairman of the event for several years.

Individual tickets are $500, and a range of sponsorship packages is available. Proceeds from the event will benefit Project Self-Sufficiency.
