Basement fire contained at Panther Valley home; no injuries reported

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Firefighters quickly contained a basement blaze at a home on House Wren in the Panther Valley community Sunday evening, according to the Allamuchy Fire Department.

The department was dispatched at approximately 5:02 p.m. for a reported smoke condition at the residence. Upon arrival, crews discovered a well-involved fire in the basement. Firefighters rapidly deployed a hose line and brought the flames under control before the fire could extend to other parts of the home.

Additional crews were requested to assist with suppression, overhaul, and ventilation efforts. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Allamuchy Fire Department thanked mutual aid partners for their swift response, including Hackettstown Fire, Green Fire, Netcong Fire, Independence Fire, Budd Lake Fire, the Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad, and Mt. Olive Fire Marshals.
