Centenary University honors students, advisor at academic and leadership awards ceremony
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Centenary University recognized 25 students, a student organization and an advisor during its annual Academic and Student Leadership Awards Ceremony on April 29.
The event honored students for academic achievement, leadership and service to the university and surrounding communities.
“Tonight we celebrate students who pair strong scholarship with meaningful leadership,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Thomas Jordan, Ph.D. “Their achievements reflect intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to serving others—qualities that strengthen our campus and will guide them well beyond Centenary. We congratulate each honoree and thank the faculty, staff, and families who helped make their success possible.”
“Our students lead with purpose, balancing academic excellence with a genuine commitment to caring for one another and giving back beyond our campus. These honorees have strengthened Centenary through their service, integrity, and perseverance, and we are proud to celebrate the difference they are making in our community,” said Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and Administration Kerry Mullins.
During the ceremony, Director of Student Activities Jamie Weingarten of Kendall Park was named Advisor of the Year. Omega Rho fraternity received a Leadership Award, accepted by Jordan Henderson of Irvington and Jacoby Stewart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
