Charles Boddy elected chair of the Warren County Democrats

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Charles Boddy on Sunday was elected Chairman of the Warren County Democrats.

Boddy received 83% majority of the vote. Boddy, Vice Chair Sherry Corcoran, Treasurer Elizabeth Gittins, and Secretary Karen Klein were overwhelmingly supported by the committee members at the county reorganization meeting, held at the Hackettstown Community Center.

“I am honored to be elected Chairman of the Warren County Democratic Committee. I am committed to growing the Democratic Party by increasing visibility, and enthusiasm and developing quality candidates for office representing our values. As our state and our nation face an inflection point in our democracy, we need serious people to step up and lead with character, decency, and integrity,” Boddy said.

Former Chairman Tom Palmieri shared his perspective on the change in chairmanship, said, “Charles Boddy’s election as the new Chairperson of the Warren County Democratic Committee is a positive step forward for the WCDC. Knowing what the Chair position requires to be successful, I know Charles brings all the necessary skills to this very important position. His years in the private sector, his role as President of the Warren-Sussex NAACP, being a member of the Warren County Board of Elections, Municipal Chair, and a candidate for Assembly, all contribute to his lifetime experience. I am confident that Charles will bring new Democrats and excitement to the WCDC. I look forward to working with Chairman Boddy in this new chapter of the WCDC.”
