Christmas came early for local kids at Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA’s ;Shop with a Cop’ event

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Christmas came early for children in Hackettstown and Mansfield Township as the Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local 369 held its annual “Shop with a Cop” event this week.

This marks the sixth year the Police Benevolent Association (PBA) has organized the event.

During the event, children were paired with officers from either the Hackettstown Police Department or the Mansfield Township Police Department, who assisted them in selecting gifts. This year, the PBA was able to donate $300 gift cards to 12 families—seven from Hackettstown and five from Mansfield—helping them shop for their families during the holiday season.

The shopping spree took place at the Walmart in Mansfield Township, bringing smiles to the children’s faces as they picked out gifts for themselves and their families.

The goal of the program is to provide children with a better Christmas while fostering a positive relationship between local youth and law enforcement.

The Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA, the Warren County Dispatchers Local 3287A, and Tri-County Fire are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to it each year. If you know of a family in need and would like to be considered for next year, please reach out to the organizations involved.
