Ciattarelli names Morris County Sheriff James Gannon as running mate for lieutenant governor
BOONTON, N.J. (Morris County) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli officially named Morris County Sheriff James Gannon as his running mate for lieutenant governor during a packed announcement event Wednesday morning at Johnnies Tavern in Boonton.
“This morning, in front of a packed house at Johnnies Tavern in Boonton, we made it official,” said Ciattarelli. “I am proud to announce Morris County Sheriff James Gannon as my running mate and New Jersey’s next lieutenant governor!”
Gannon, who has decades of experience in law enforcement and public safety, is best known for launching the HOPE ONE mobile recovery unit and establishing Morris County’s Cold Case Unit. Ciattarelli praised Gannon as a leader who has devoted his career to “defending the rule of law, helping those in need, and making our communities safer.”
“James is a proven leader with bipartisan respect—and exactly the partner I need to deliver real change for our state,” Ciattarelli said.
