WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a series of recalls involving consumer products that pose fire, burn, choking, entrapment, suffocation and other safety hazards, including several products linked to reports of deaths.

Hazard:
The recalled refrigerators’ internal electrical components can short circuit and ignite, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards.
Remedy:
Consumers should unplug and stop using the recalled refrigerators immediately until repaired and contact Galanz to schedule free in-home repair by a qualified technician.

Hazard:
The recalled fireworks rockets can explode prematurely before reaching their intended height, posing explosion and burn hazards.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the fireworks rockets immediately and contact Jake’s Fireworks for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to return the fireworks devices to the retail location where they purchased the product or the nearest Jake’s Fireworks retail location.

Hazard:
The zipline kit’s steel cable, turnbuckle and seat can detach or break during use, posing a fall hazard. The zipline spring brakes are not stiff enough to safely slow a rider down and the kit design does not include an emergency brake, posing collision and fall hazards.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the TT Trsmima zipline kits and zipline spring brakes immediately and contact Trsmima for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to uninstall the zipline kits and destroy them by cutting the safety belt, seat rope and if included in their model, rachet strap, in half and then discarding all kit components, including the cable, spring brake, turnbuckle and trolley in the trash. Consumers will be asked to dispose of the stand-alone spring brakes in the trash. Consumers of the kits and stand-alone spring brakes will both be asked to send photo(s) of the destroyed and discarded products to the firm to receive a full refund.

Hazard:
The recalled tower stools can collapse or tip over while in use, and a child’s torso can fit through the openings on the front and back sides, posing a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the recalled stools immediately and store them away from children. Contact HARPPA for a free repair kit, including shipping. The repair kit consists of protective nets, stabilizing feet and installation instructions.

The recalled dive sticks violate the federal dive sticks ban because they exceeded the compress limit, posing an impalement hazard. In shallow water, children may fall or land on a dive stick, resulting in serious piercing injuries. Facial and eye injuries are also possible when children attempt to retrieve the sticks underwater.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the recalled dive sticks immediately, take them away from children and dispose of them. Consumers will be asked to take a photo of the disposed dive sticks in the trash and email it to Joyin at support@joyin.com. Once received, Joyin will send the consumer redesigned dive sticks that meet federal regulations.

The recalled tower stools can collapse or tip over while in use, and a child’s torso can fit through the openings on the front and back sides, posing a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards.

Consumers should stop using the recalled tower stools immediately and store them away from children until repaired. Contact Hangzhou Xinyanchuangxin for repair parts, which include stabilizing feet and installation instructions. The firm will mail the repair parts directly to consumers free of charge.

The recalled baby loungers violate the mandatory safety standard for infant support cushions because the padding can obstruct an infant’s breathing, posing a serious risk of injury or deadly suffocation hazard.

Consumers will be asked to remove the foam and pad from the baby lounger’s cover and cut the cover, foam and pad in half. Consumers should then email photos of the destroyed pieces to CetoPMaxRecall@outlook.com to receive a refund.

Hazard:
The cups and containers violate the mandatory standard for consumer products with button cell and coin batteries because they contain button cell batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. In addition, the products do not bear the warning labels required by Reese’s Law. If button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the Fantastic Four Cups and Captain America Popcorn Helmet Containers immediately and contact Golden Link for a refund of the purchase price of the product. Consumers will be asked to dispose of the product and send a photo showing proof of disposal to productrecall@goldenlinkinc.com to receive a refund.
Note: Button cell batteries are hazardous. Batteries should be disposed of or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures.

Remedy:

Consumers will be asked to destroy the throws and blankets by unplugging the electrical cord and cutting it in half, and to send a photo of the destroyed product, showing the cut electrical cord, to OctrotRecall@gmail.com. Consumers should then dispose of the destroyed recalled products.
