Driver injured after car crashes into house in Hunterdon County

ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A driver was injured after crashing into house in Hunterdon County Wednesday afternoon, according to a post on the Quakertown NJ Fire Company-91 Fire/Rescue’s Facebook page.

The crash happened on Manor Way in Alexandria Township.

Based upon the damage to the house, the Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Team was requested to assist in shoring up the building, authorities said.

Fire companies worked for two hours to further assess the structure, remove debris, stabilize and shore up the damaged area of the home, work with the tow company to safely remove the vehicle and seal/tarp the exposed area before the next round of weather arrives, the post said.

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center, the post said.

The crash remains under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
