Driver injured after vehicle overturns off I-287 in Morris County, state police say

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A driver was injured Sunday afternoon when a vehicle ran off Interstate 287 and overturned in Hanover Township, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the crash at 3:57 p.m. on the southbound side of I-287 near milepost 37.5, NJSP spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.

A preliminary investigation found that a Subaru passenger vehicle was traveling south when the driver lost control, veered off the right side of the roadway, entered a wooded area and overturned, Postorino said.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, state police said.
