Driver injured when vehicle veers off highway, strikes trees in Morris County, state police say

MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A driver was hospitalized following a crash on I-287 in Morris County early Sunday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash occurred around 4:52 a.m. on the northbound side of I-287 at Exit 47 in Montville Township, Lebron said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Honda Odyssey was traveling northbound when it lost control, veered off the right side of the roadway, and struck trees, Lebron said.

The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The crash remains under investigation, and no further details are available at this time, Lebron added.
