Area residents looking to safely dispose of confidential paperwork and recycle old household electronics can do both while giving back to community causes at the Hackettstown Rotary Club’s Fall Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event. While located in Hackettstown, the event is open to participants from all surrounding towns.
Date: Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026
Time: 9:00AM – Noon

Paper shredding is offered at $5 per bag or box, with 100% of proceeds directly supporting more than 35 local civic programs and charitable initiatives through the Hackettstown Rotary Foundation.
In addition to document destruction, an Abilities donation truck will be stationed on-site to collect unwanted electronics. A wide range of small electronics will be accepted free of charge, while recycling for large-screen televisions requires a $25 donation.
