Family, friends gather at Hackettstown home to bake more than 2,500 cookies for troops

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A local Hackettstown group of friends and family gathered Saturday to bake thousands of cookies to support military heroes.

Cookies For The Troops (CFTT), is a non-profit that was founded by Santina Flynn, who passed away in 2019 after battling breast cancer, after her son Justin joined the Marines.

The group spends the day baking cookies and treats to pack and send to troops deployed over seas.

The group carried on the tradition this year and baked 2,511 cookies in 12 hours.

“It was Santina’s wish that this tradition live on to give military a little piece of home while they’re away sacrificing for us,” the group said.
