The firefighting efforts were complicated by extremely cold weather, the remote location of the property, and the need for water shuttle operations. Crews worked tirelessly into the early morning hours to gain control of the blaze.

The Rescue Squad units cleared the scene around 2:30 a.m., but crews returned later that morning and throughout the day to extinguish remaining hot spots.

It is unclear if there were any injuries, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
