Firefighters extinguish chimney fire at Warren County home

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Firefighters responded Thursday night to a chimney fire at a home on Port Murray Road in Mansfield Township, according to the Mansfield Township Fire Company.

Crews from the Mansfield Township Fire Company and Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the 90 block of Port Murray Road after reports of a chimney fire.

The incident commander arrived and confirmed an active chimney fire, establishing command at the scene.

Firefighters worked to clear the chimney and extinguish the fire, while additional personnel and water resources remained on standby if needed.

Crews operated at the scene for about an hour before bringing the situation under control and returning to service.

No injuries were reported.
