Firefighters extinguish tractor-trailer fire in Morris County

NETCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Crews extinguished a tractor-trailer fire in Netcong Borough Sunday morning.

The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. at 65 Love Lane, when the tractor-trailer erupted in flames and spread to an adjacent truck.

Upon arrival, the fire chief found one tractor-trailer fully engulfed in flames, with the fire also affecting the truck parked next to it. Fire crews arrived on scene and brought the fire under control.

Morris County Hazmat also responded to the scene due to a small diesel spill caused by a ruptured saddle tank.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately clear.
