Former Morris County daycare teacher sentenced for assaulting 16-month-old girl
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A former daycare teacher has been sentenced for assaulting a 16-month-old girl at the Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
Christina Susco, 38, of Budd Lake, was sentenced on January 17, 2025, by the Honorable Ralph Amirata to five years of probation, conditioned on serving 90 days in the Morris County Correctional Facility, Carroll said.
Upon her release, Susco is ordered to comply with all recommendations from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), have no contact with the victim or her family, undergo a mental health evaluation, and refrain from contacting the Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center, where she is no longer employed, Carroll said.
On November 18, 2024, Susco pled guilty to one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 25, 2024, when Susco, who was employed as a teacher at the Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center, assaulted the 16-month-old child. Following an investigation, Susco was charged in connection with the assault.
