GoFundMe launched for Boonton Township woman after devastating house fire
BOONTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — The Boonton Township PBA #392 is asking the community to support a longtime resident who suffered a devastating fire at her home on Aug. 19.
A GoFundMe has been organized to benefit Debra Forsythe, a decades-long Boonton Township resident known through her work at Rockaway Valley School and her involvement and volunteer work at community events.
Forsythe is also the wife of the late James Forsythe, who served as a Boonton Township police officer.
According to the GoFundMe, while homeowners insurance will assist Forsythe as she recovers from the fire, she faces immediate expenses for clothing, food, temporary housing and other necessities.
Funds raised through the campaign will go directly toward those needs and help provide stability as Forsythe begins rebuilding her life and home.
“As a community, this is an opportunity for us to come together and support someone who has spent so many years supporting others,” members of Boonton Township PBA #392 said in the fundraiser.
The PBA said donations of any amount are appreciated and will help Forsythe during the recovery process.
“No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a difference as Debra begins the long road toward rebuilding her life and home,” the PBA said.
If you would like to donate and support Forsythe as she recovers from the fire, contributions can be made through the GoFundMe fundraiser.
