GoFundMe set up for Warren County family who lost everything in house fire

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A GoFundMe has been set up for a Warren County family who lost everything in a house fire Saturday afternoon.

The fire broke out at around 1:13 p.m. at a residence on Mount Rascal Road in Independence Township. No one was injured, however, all the pets died.

The GoFundMe was created by Hayden Lechner, who said, “in just minutes, 31 years of family memories, love and their beloved pets disappeared in the flames. They now possess nothing but the clothes on their backs. Now more than ever they need the support of the community and help to begin rebuilding their life.”

“The Delorenzo’s are the nicest people you will come across and have always been the first in line to help others, now they are the ones which need your help. Anything that you can donate please do as all of the Delorenzo’s have lost everything today,” Lechner wrote.

The GoFundMe has set a goal of $100,000 for the family. As of Monday morning, it has raised over $43,000. If you would like to donate to help out the family, click here.

The Independence First Aid Squad is also collecting gift cards for the family involved in this devastating fire. Gift cards can be dropped off at their building located at 3 Regina Lane, Great Meadows, NJ 07838, any time, or you can call 908-736-6109, to arrange a pick up time.
