Hackettstown BID to host ‘Sweet Deals’ Valentine’s Day event Saturday

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Business Improvement District will host its “Sweet Deals” Valentine’s Day event on Saturday, Feb. 14, offering dining, shopping and entertainment specials throughout the downtown district.

The one-day event invites residents and visitors to explore Hackettstown restaurants, breweries and a distillery, while also taking advantage of sales and promotions at participating shops and service businesses. Organizers say the goal is to encourage people to visit new businesses and support local merchants.

Visitors strolling through Main Street and surrounding areas may hear the barbershop quartet Kudos performing Valentine-themed songs, including “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” from noon to 2 p.m.

Shoppers are encouraged to purchase BID Bucks as Valentine’s gifts. The gift certificates are redeemable at participating Business Improvement District businesses.

Participating businesses will display posters identifying their involvement in the “Sweet Deals” event, with specials available throughout the day.

Among the participating locations and offerings:

  • Czig Meister Brewing, 106 Valentine St., will host a Stout Fest from noon to 10 p.m., featuring more than 40 stouts, food trucks, fire pits and the return of the cigar lounge.
  • Living Spirits Distillery, 300 Valentine St., will offer 10% off purchases with the code SWEET.
  • James on Main, 105 Main St., will present a four-course gourmet tasting menu for $159 per person, with reservations required.
  • Eurodeli2go, 112 Main St., will offer 10% off in-store purchases.
  • First Place Tattoos, 128 Main St., will feature a buy-one-get-one-free piercing special, with customers paying only for the cost of jewelry.
  • LuLu’s Book Nook, 159 Main St., will offer $10 “Blind Date with a Book” bundles.
  • House of Jerky, 160 Main St., will offer 10% off in-store purchases.
  • Kilhaney’s Pickles, 173 Main St., will offer a free pickle.
  • Sweet Bite Delights, 199 Main St., will offer half off a coffee with the purchase of a dessert.
  • Aroma Y Horno, 205 Main St., will offer an empanada and small coffee for $6.
  • Tracey’s Candy Shoppe, 210 Main St., will feature Valentine’s Day treats.
  • The Love of Dance, 289 Main St., will host a Parents Night Out Valentine’s party for children, with registration required.
  • Pandan Room, 100 E. Moore St., will offer a five-course dinner for $39.99, with reservations required.
  • Live Fully Now Wellness Center, 106 E. Moore St., will offer discounts on purchases of supplements and holistic treatments.
