Heath Village to host free community garden tour on July 15

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Heath Village residents will host a free walking tour of their Community Garden and campus on Tuesday, July 15 at 10 a.m., with a rain date scheduled for Thursday, July 17.

The event, open to the public by reservation, will include a guided tour of the garden and an overview of Heath Village’s 100+ acre retirement community campus, located at 430 Schooley’s Mountain Road.

Residents will share the history and significance of the Community Garden and other outdoor amenities. Following the tour, a light lunch will be served, during which Denise [last name TBD] from Donaldson’s Nursery and Greenhouse will offer gardening tips and answer questions from attendees.

Although the program is free, space is limited and reservations are required. To register, call 908-684-5009.
