Heath Village to host Lunch & Learn on navigating care for loved ones
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Heath Village will host a Lunch & Learn program later this month aimed at helping family members and caregivers navigate decisions about caring for loved ones.
The event, titled “You’re Not Alone…Navigating Care for Loved Ones,” is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, at noon at the retirement community, 430 Schooley’s Mountain Road.
The seminar will be led by Melissa Nichols, director of resident care coordination at Heath Village, who has more than a decade of experience assisting families with caregiving transitions and planning.
The program will cover recognizing early warning signs that a loved one may need additional care, tips for starting difficult but productive conversations, strategies for creating a care plan and an overview of senior living options and levels of service.
Organizers said the session is designed to help caregivers feel more confident, informed and supported when making decisions about next steps.
The event is free, but registration is required due to limited space. To register, call 908-684-5008.
